Peach Philosophy

unknown

The peach on the tree

is sunrise rendered

in aspect and complexion.

In the bowl

quite deceiving,

underflesh bruised and dire,

concealed in a ceramic curve.

I consider throwing it out,

fearing the damage will spread.

I accept instead

all the goodness

offered,

spared from the pitfalls of beauty.
